Do this, not that!

Pearl Care

Pearls require proper care to maintain their amazing luster. They should never be exposed to cleaning solutions,  perfumes or beauty products and even perspiration can leave them discolored over time. Never soak your pearls in jewelry cleaner. Keep in a cool dry place and always wipe with a dry soft cloth before storing them.

Gold Care

You may use a jewelry cleaner for your 14 & 18k gold jewelry. Wearing your gold jewelry in the shower can leave it looking dull by leaving a soap residue. The best way to remove this is with rubbing alcohol and a soft chamois cloth.

Silver Care

Sterling silver jewelry will oxidize with time. To properly maintain your silver jewelry use a mild soap and water solution and soak. Gently pat dry with a soft cloth. For stubborn dirt and tarnish we recommend a jewelry cleaner labeled specifically for sterling silver. Store in a cool, dry place away from light and air. Never wear in chlorine water.

Diamond care

Diamonds are one of the most robust and commonly used gemstones around. To keep your diamond jewelry shining use an ammonia based cleaner and a soft brush. Finish with a quick dip in rubbing alcohol to make it sparkle like it's been professionally cleaned.

Other gems

Unlike diamonds many other gemstones will not do well with heat, ammonia and abrasive cleaning. To be safe clean other gems in warm soapy water and use a soft brush when scrubbing. Being overly aggressive while brushing can leave surface abrasions on some stones. If you are unsure please call or email us with questions. We are happy to share our knowledge.

Worse for wear

Different pieces will require different care. Rings should not be worn in the gym, while gardening, doing household chores. Chains, pendants & bracelets should be removed before bed. Remember, the more you wear it, the quicker it will deteriorate. Jewelry should be the last thing you put on before you leave the house & the first thing you take off when you return home.
